My name is Jim Anthonioz

I'm a self-taught artist.

I live in France and started painting 3 years ago. At first my paintings were figurative, but after a few months they became abstract.

I love the abstract and what it does for the soul.
Everyone can recognise something different, there's a real zone of research and creativity that gets activated in front of an abstract.

Sometimes I also do figurative work, which I won't be presenting on the site.

Nowadays,

I enjoy combining paint with different solid and liquid materials. The artwork evolves intuitively.

There's a real manufacturing process when I create a paint, and I have to be really rigorous and follow its evolution closely.

The construction of a artwork is very complex because it is directed by two diametrically opposed behaviours, my instinct and my reason.
